CPCR 2010 Asilomar Educational Kallah

If 2500 years of Jewish history in 48 hours is your idea of a good time, you would have loved this year’s Asilomar Kallah, February 19 - 21. The annual retreat to the pines and the deer and the roar of the surf has always been known for its high level of accessible scholarship, and this year was no exception when Dr. Michael Goldberg presented “Surviving Jewish History: Consequential Choices.”

The Sarah Wetsman Davidson Tower at Hadassah Medical Center

In January, CPCR President Liz Alpert toured the building site of the new Tower on a Hadassah National Board Mission to Jerusalem.  "The Tower is really happening," Liz said. "Words do not do justice to the feelings we experienced: climbing the many flights from the bottom underground level up to the main entrance floor; walking through the expansive operating rooms level; standing outside in the atrium area which will connect the Tower with the Mother Child Center; seeing the light shining into the future synagogue. There were tears and goose bumps. The Tower is a structure that every Hadassah member should “own.”
